Rotary Vacuum Pump is of oil immersed rotary van type, where not only complete assembly is immersed in oil but shaft seal is also designed in such a way that it totally eliminates possibility of suction of air through it.
The main assembly of pump consists of a stator with a rotary mounted eccentrically. The rotor is fitted with two spring loaded diametrically opposed vanes, which move in and out of their slots, pressing against the inner surface of the stator. when the rotor revolves eccentrically these vanes sweep the air space, two times in a single revolution creating the vacuum. The main assembly is enclosed in a square box made from fine material capable of offering toughest resistance to corrosive intakes.
